One thing that I found while reading was how Julia’s opinions made a lot of sense. For one, her ideas on why the Party feels it necessary to beat out all desire and passion for anything sexual makes sense in that it seems true that because the Party members have no desire to fulfill themselves through means of natural pleasure they instead pour themselves into the Party and love for Big Brother. Though it is of my opinion that they will only be able to succeed in doing so for so long, it has to be impossible to beat out human nature till there is nothing left but love for the Party. I don’t know maybe I just hope that in the end Winston and Julia will start the rebellion and overthrow the Party.
